A young lion prince is next in line to take the throne of his kingdom in Africa. His malevolent uncle, the third in line, murders the king, but convinces the rightful heir that he is guilty. Embarrassed, the young lion leaves his kingdom. Years later he will have to return to rid the kingdom of his uncle and claim the throne, with the invaluable help of his inseparable friends, a wild boar and a meerkat.
